Smud Yoga, a newly established yoga studio, faced significant challenges in a highly competitive area. Surrounded by large yoga studios, fitness centers, and smaller local players, Smud Yoga needed to distinguish itself as a safe, inclusive, professional, and modern studio. The primary challenge was to carve out a niche that positioned it as a yoga studio for everyone, emphasizing member needs, close follow-up, and a strong social environment.
To address this challenge, we began with a comprehensive analysis of the market, competition, and target audience. This analysis provided insights into how various competitors communicated their offerings. We aimed to diverge from the traditional yoga aesthetic and instead highlight the joy that yoga brings. This required a unique communication strategy to set Smud Yoga apart from its competitors. Rather than adhering to specific design principles, we utilized creative tools to develop a visual identity that embodied the studio's values and objectives.
The core strategy was to position Smud Yoga as an inclusive yoga studio that celebrates the joy of yoga for everyone. We collaborated closely with the client throughout the process to ensure their vision was realized. The client's active involvement in the development of the strategy ensured that the final solution was deeply rooted in their desires and requirements.
We provided a complete Brand identity and a functional website with integrated purchase, booking, and payment solutions. The client was highly satisfied with the outcome, which effectively communicated their unique market position. Although no specific results or feedback were measured post-project, Smud Yoga has successfully established itself as a distinctive and inclusive yoga studio in the local area.
